Who is Serge Berger?
Serge Berger has a very credible track record when it comes to the markets. He has worked at JP Morgan (dealing with fixed income instruments) and has been a prop trader in futures, options and stocks.
He has been trading for over 20 years.
His time as a financial analysist exposed him to all the different asset classes. This really helped him figure out what strategies would work the best for his goal of steady income trading.
Serge Berger Review: How Serge Trades
Serge is a very adaptable trader. He uses different time-frames to figure out which strategies to use depending on market conditions etc. This allows him to grow his account independent of market conditions! Serge focuses on the highest probability setups and follow rules very strictly.
I know that Serge likes to sell Put option spreads when he is bullish and Call option spreads when he is bearish. I do like how these vertical spreads clearly define the max loss.
From what I can see of this strategy is that serge chooses options strike prices that are way out of the money and expiration time is usually 3 months out. This seems to help minimize potential volatility in the trade.
A distinct feature of the service is that the Option Strike prices for the spread are a long way from the current stock price and the Option Expiry date is 2 to 4 months into the future in an effort to minimize volatility.
Despite the very conservative expiration dates, the trades typically only last a couple of weeks. It seems that Serge shys away from more complex trades like Iron Condors for example.
What is Serge Berger Market Rover?
Market Rover is a web-based scanner that looks for gaps, price exhaustion as well as reversal/continuation potential moves. It uses many different proprietary indicators developed by Serge Berger.
The Market Rover delivers trade ideas and strategies. It is a complex system that looks at a lot of different factors, leaving no stone unturned to find the most likely trades for the day.
The proprietary trend scanners help you to identify the sectors, ETFs and stocks that are trending or changing trends so that you can make sure you are going with the market and not against it.
You get real-time trade alerts from the system and get alerted when the trend changes in particular sectors. It seems to be a very useful tool!
The cost is currently about $97 a month.
Serge Berger Market Rover Review: Conclusions
I will be continuing to review this tool as a real user. I like how credible Serge Berger is as an established trader of many years. I haven’t been able to find many reviews of his Market Rover product so I am looking forward to working with the program and reviewing it fully.
